ABOUT ME

JOURNALISM
I'm a freelance Earth, planetary science, and astronomy writer based in Washington, D.C. My work has appeared in Science, Nature, Smithsonian, WIRED, Sky & Telescope, Science News, Ars Technica, Sierra, GBH News, Circle of Blue, and Living on Earth.
COMMUNICATIONS
I am also an institutional science communicator. I currently work part-time as the Outreach Coordinator for the Next Generation Event Horizon Telescope, based at the Center for Astrophysics|Harvard & Smithsonian. I've also written an e-book for NASA's Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope.


EDUCATION
I have an M.S. from MIT's Graduate Program in Science Writing. I have a B.S. in Environmental Science and a minor in Nonfiction Creative Writing from the University of Chicago. I've interned at Science, Veritasium, Circle of Blue, Living on Earth, and NASA's Hubble Space Telescope (2x).
